• Compatible Fans
  The size of the exhaust fan housing must measure from 8"x8" up to 10.5"x10.5" - double check to make sure yours will fit! Many models from Panasonic's WhisperCeiling, WhisperFit, and WhisperGreen product lines are compatible with the Flush Exhaust Mount [Luxe]. 
• Note - It maybe necessary to trim the mounting flange on the fan if it prevents the center plate from locking in. Double check before mounting by test-fitting the fan into Flush Exhaust Mount [Luxe] opening. Try sliding the Flush Exhaust Mount [Luxe] plate into place and if the fan's flange obstructs the tabs, trim the flange as needed.

What material can this be used with?
This product is a flush air vent for walls and ceilings, designed specifically for drywall or gypsum applications. If you're working with other materials, use the Framed Exhaust Mount [Lite] or Framed Exhaust Mount [Luxe] — these are compatible with any surface.

My wall is already installed. Can I use this product?
Yes, definitely! Our flush exhaust mounts are designed for both pre- and post-drywall installation. Just be prepared for a bit of drywall mudding and sanding to ensure a flush, seamless look. If you’re looking for something a bit more DIY-friendly, use the Framed Exhaust Mount [Lite] or Framed Exhaust Mount [Luxe]. When installing, be conscious of wall studs. Position the product between studs for a seamless result. 

Does this product include a fan?
No, this is an exhaust mount. The fan is not included. 

I already have a fan fitted. Can this product be used with retrofit ventilation fans?
Yes, absolutely! This luxe exhaust fan cover is specifically designed for use with retrofit ventilation fans.

Are there restrictions on which ventilation fans I can use?
Yes, this minimalist exhaust fan mount is designed specifically for retrofit fans with a lip and a housing size up to 12" x 12". Ensure your fan meets these requirements for a proper fit.

Can this be installed in engineered floor joist systems with TJI joists?
This recessed exhaust mount is designed for use with standard joists. If you’re using TJI joists, you may need to check the sizing to ensure proper fitment. We recommend consulting with a professional if you’re unsure about compatibility.

Will this product work with my HVAC system?
This HVAC-compatible exhaust fan mount is airflow tested and designed to work with most standard systems, but it’s always a good idea to consult your HVAC specialist to ensure that this product is right for yours. 

Are these vents compatible with filters?
Not at the moment, unfortunately. Our vents aren't designed to fit filters right now, but we're actively working on a solution. Watch this space!

Framed or Flush? What's the difference between the Flush Exhaust Mount [Luxe] and the Framed Exhaust Mount [Luxe]?
This is the Flush model, which sits level with the wall surface. It requires drywall mudding and sanding to create a seamless, contoured look that blends into the wall, so it’s best installed by a professional. In comparison, the Framed model has a rim that sits on top of the wall surface, creating a visible border and allowing for an easy, DIY-friendly drop-in installation.

Lite or Luxe? What's the difference between the Flush Exhaust Mount [Luxe] and the Flush Exhaust Mount [Lite]?
This is the Luxe model, made from powder-coated galvanneal steel. In comparison, the Lite model is made from durable ABS plastic. 

Can I use this vent on floors, walls, and ceilings?
This luxe exhaust fan cover for wall and ceiling is designed for drywall or gypsum walls and ceilings only.

When you say easy to install, just how easy is it?
This is the Flush model. It requires mudding and sanding to achieve a flush finish, so it’s best tackled by someone experienced with drywall. If that’s not you, we recommend calling a pro! Alternatively, use the Framed Exhaust Mount [Luxe] — installation is simple and requires minimal tools. Just cut a hole in the drywall (if needed) and fasten with the provided screws. Do you make custom sizes or colors?
No, we don’t offer custom sizes or colors. But the good news is that you can paint or wallpaper our products however you like to blend seamlessly into the surrounding wall.

Can I paint it? 
Yes! This ultra-minimal exhaust fan mount is specifically designed to be painted to blend into the wall. Just use a paint that is suitable for powder-coated galvanneal steel. We recommend applying a primer before painting for the best results.
