What material can this be used with?
This recessed device mount is designed specifically for drywall and gypsum walls or ceilings. 

What can I use this for?
This ultra-minimalist device mount is extremely versatile and can be used to recess any small device required in the home, such as alarm panels, wireless access points, and smoke detectors. You can also use this flush mount for thermostats, keypads, and pot lights.

My wall is already installed. Can I use this product?
Yes, absolutely! Just be prepared for a bit of drywall mudding and sanding to ensure a flush, seamless look. If you’re looking for something a bit more DIY-friendly, use the Framed Drywall Device Mount [Lite]. When installing, be conscious of wall studs. Position the product between studs for a seamless result. 

What devices are compatible with the Flush Drywall Device Mount [Lite]?
Our installation guide shows pot lights and thermostats, but any device that fits within the 5" x 5" opening can be mounted.

Framed or Flush? What's the difference between the Flush Drywall Device Mount [Lite] and the Framed Drywall Device Mount [Lite]?
This is the Flush model, designed to be mudded in, creating a seamless, contoured look that blends into the wall, so it’s best installed by a professional. In comparison, the Framed model has a rim that sits on top of the wall surface, creating a visible border and allowing for an easy, DIY-friendly drop-in installation. 

Can I use this product on floors, walls, and ceilings?This is a flush device mount for wall and ceiling, and would not work on flooring. 

Does this require electrical prep work?
Yes, some preparation of the receptacle box is required when installing this drywall mount for devices. (See step 1 of the install guide)

Are there restrictions on wall plate sizes?
Yes, check the detailed dimensions for compatible device sizes.

When you say easy to install, just how easy is it?
This is the Flush model. It requires mudding and sanding to achieve a flush finish, so it’s best tackled by someone experienced with drywall. If that’s not you, we recommend calling a pro! Alternatively, use the Framed Drywall Device Mount [Lite] — installation is simple and requires minimal tools. Just cut a hole in the drywall and fasten the device mount with the provided screws. Do you make custom sizes or colors?
No, we don’t offer custom sizes or colors. This is designed as a minimalist mount for small devices under 5" x 5", and works great as a pot light flush mount.As for color, you can paint or wallpaper it however you like!

Can I paint it?
Yes! This minimalist device mount is specifically designed to be painted to blend into the wall. Just use a paint that is suitable for ABS plastic. We recommend applying a primer before painting for the best results.
