Yes, definitely! This luxe recessed shelf is designed for both pre- and post-drywall installation. Just be prepared for a bit of drywall mudding and sanding to ensure a flush, seamless look. If you’re looking for something a bit more DIY-friendly, use the Framed Anywhere Niche [Luxe]. When installing, be conscious of wall studs. Position the product between studs for a seamless result.

The is a Flush wall niche model, designed to be mudded in, creating a seamless, contoured look that blends into the wall, so it’s best installed by a professional. In contrast, the Framed model has a rim that sits on top of the wall surface, creating a visible border and allowing for an easy, DIY-friendly drop-in installation.

Can I use this product on floors, walls, and ceilings?
This luxe wall niche for drywall is designed for wall and ceiling installations only.

When you say easy to install, just how easy is it?
This is the Flush model. It requires mudding and sanding to achieve a flush finish, so it’s best tackled by someone experienced with drywall. If that’s not you, we recommend calling a pro! Alternatively, use the Framed Anywhere Niche [Luxe] — installation is simple and requires minimal tools. Just cut a hole in the drywall and fasten the niche with the provided screws. Can I paint it?
Yes! This customizable recessed shelf is specifically designed to be painted to blend into the wall. Just use a paint that is suitable for powder-coated galvanneal steel. We recommend applying a primer before painting for the best results.

How do I add recessed lighting to the niche?
We've designed this recessed shelf with LED integration in mind. The inside top panel of the niche has a small channel for an LED light strip (not included). There's also a concealed, hinged door to hide wires and a power supply, if needed. Keep in mind that recessed lighting may require electrical work to be completed before installing the niche.
