What materials can this be used with?
This flush vent is designed for drywall or gypsum walls and ceilings.

My wall/ceiling is already finished. Can I still use this product?
Yes, definitely! The Flush model does require mudding and sanding, so be ready for a bit of dust. When installing, make sure to position the vent between wall studs and that you have at least 2” of clearance behind the vent. While ideal for new builds and planned renovations, retrofits may face depth limitations. Make sure you have enough clearance in the cavity before installing (6” depth or more is best). 

How much space do I need inside the wall or ceiling?
You need at least 2 inches of empty space behind the vent. This works in walls and ceiling cavities that are 6 inches deep or more. Always check the depth before installing.

When you say easy to install, just how easy is it?
This is the Flush model. It’s an ultra-minimal wall vent that requires mudding and sanding to achieve a flush finish, so it’s best tackled by someone experienced with drywall. If that’s not you, we recommend calling a pro!  Also, because of the size of this model, we recommend two installers for the job.

Is this vent compatible with filters?
Yes — it works with 20 × 20 × 1" filters. Subscribe for filter replacements

Do I need a filter at the vent?
No, you don’t need a filter, this product can still function without one. If you would like to include a filter in the future, you can easily add one. If you’re not sure if you need a filter at the vent, we recommend checking with an HVAC specialist.

How do I open the vent and replace the filter? 
To change the filter, unlock the plate. Push on the side with the small hole until it opens. Slide the filter in and tuck it under the small tabs so it stays in place. Close the plate, line up the little pegs with the holes, then pull it back until it clicks and stays locked. Will this work with my HVAC system?
This vent is airflow tested and constructed to work with most standard systems, but it’s always a good idea to consult your HVAC specialist to ensure that this product is right for yours.

Can I use this on floors, walls, and ceilings?
This wall vent can also be used on ceilings, but would not work on flooring.

Do you make custom sizes or colors?
No, we don’t offer custom sizes or colors. However, we do have a wide range of sizes available, and you can paint or wallpaper them however you like for a flush wall vent that blends into drywall. 

Can I paint it? 
Yes! This minimalist drywall vent is specifically designed to be painted to blend into the wall. Just use a paint that is suitable for steel. We recommend applying a primer before painting for the best results.
