What material can this be used with?
Almost any. Like all Fittes floor vents, this product is compatible with tile, hardwood, carpet, vinyl, laminate, cork, and more. For Luxe models, the surface material must be between ⅛” and ⅞” thick.

My floor is already installed. Can I use this product?
No, this is a flushmount floor vent that needs to be mounted at the subfloor level, before installing the surface material. If your floor is already installed, use a retrofit framed model like the Framed Floor Vent [Lite], Framed Floor Vent [Luxe], or Framed Floor Vent [Luxe+].

Will this product work with my HVAC system?
This HVAC-compatible floor vent is airflow tested and designed to work with most standard systems, but it’s always a good idea to consult your HVAC specialist to ensure that this product is right for yours. 

Framed or Flush? What's the difference between the Flush Floor Vent [Luxe] and the Framed Floor Vent [Luxe]?
This is the Flush model, a minimalist floor vent that sits level with the floor. It must be mounted at the subfloor level to create a seamless, contoured look that blends into the floor. In comparison, the Framed model has a thin rim that sits on top of the floor surface, creating a visible border and allowing for an easy, DIY-friendly drop-in installation. 

Lite or Luxe? What's the difference between the Flush Floor Vent [Luxe] and the Flush Floor Vent [Lite]?
This is the Luxe model, made from powder-coated galvanneal steel. It has built-in dampers for airflow control. In comparison, the Lite model is an affordable recessed floor vent made from durable ABS plastic. It holds up to 300 lbs and is ideal for high-traffic areas. The Flush Floor Vent [Lite] has built-in airflow control, while the Framed Floor Vent [Lite] does not (though you can purchase Lite Dampers separately if needed). 

And what about the Flush Floor Vent [Luxe+]?
The Luxe+ model is a high-performance, recessed vent for floors, for those who want a little extra “oomph”. It has all the features of the Flush Floor Vent [Luxe] and is also equipped with an extra air channel that allows for up to 100% increased airflow.

Can I use this vent on floors, walls, and ceilings?
This is a recessed floor vent, designed for heavy materials like tile and wood. It works on floors, and walls that are tiled or wood panelled, but is not compatible with drywall and would not work on ceilings. For drywall and ceiling application, use the Flush Wall Vent [Lite] or Flush Wall Vent [Luxe].

Is this product easy to install?
This product requires professional installation in the building phase.

Do you make custom sizes or colors?
No, we don’t offer custom sizes or colors. However, we do have a wide range of sizes available, and you can customize Fittes vents with a leftover piece of surface material — simply cut and glue the material onto the inner tray for an ultra-minimal floor vent that blends right into the floor. You can also paint our powder-coated steel vents any colour you like! We recommend applying a primer before painting for the best results.
