Flush Floor Vent [Lite] vs. Flush Floor Vent [Luxe]
Q. They look the same to me, what’s the difference?
A. The Flush Floor Vent [Lite] is our price conscious alternative to the Flush Floor Vent [Luxe]. It's almost exactly the same, except for a few details:
- Material - Flush Floor Vent [Luxe] is made entirely in solid powder coated steel. Flush Floor Vent [Lite] is made of a combination of high quality ABS plastic (for the body and tray), and a solid steel base.
- Tray depth: The tray depth of the Flush Floor Vent [Luxe] is 7/8”, the Flush Floor Vent [Lite] is 3/4”.
Q. Is the install method different for both vents?
A. No, install method is pretty much the same. Both vents MUST be mounted at the subfloor level, prior to the surface installation. Both vents require a Pro to install.
Q. Is the Flush Floor Vent [Lite] less durable because it's made in plastic?
A. Surprisingly, no! The Flush Floor Vent [Lite] is actually stronger than the Flush Floor Vent [Luxe]. This is because the Flush Floor Vent [Lite] has been engineered completely differently, and has multiple support brackets making it perfect for high traffic areas.
Q. Do both models have air flow control?
A. Yep! The tray can be removed any time before or after install to access air flow dampers that can open and close the vent.
Q. Which model is easier to clean?
A. They are the same. Just remove the tray and vacuum / wipe down the vent.
Q. Why is there such a big different in price between the Flush Floor Vent [Luxe] & Flush Floor Vent [Lite]?
A. This is mainly attributed to the materials they are made from. Plastic is less expensive than steel.
Q. Why did you make two products that look pretty much the same?
A. We believe in making good design accessible to all budgets, that’s why we made the Flush Floor Vent [Lite]. Same minimalist design, but made in high quality ABS plastic.
Q. Can I buy Flush Floor Vent [Luxe] in multi packs?
A. No, Flush Floor Vent [Luxe] can only be purchased in single quantities.
Q. What about air flow performance?
A. Great question! We’re serious about air flow. You can find our third party CFM testing data HERE.
Q. Are both models only for floor vents?
A. Nope! These models can also be mounted on walls or ceilings. *Best used on wall and ceiling applications that have a different material other than drywall. The Flush Wall Vent [Luxe] is the best model for flush drywall surface vents.
